What Happened to Halftime?

Part of college football is halftime. Part party, part celebration, we get to see awards, honors, and the marching band. Well, if you are watching television there is no halftime anymore. It is an excuse for sports updates and commercials. Yes, the game is important on that day, but missing the band cuts to the heart the spirit of the game. Since graduating from two SEC universities, I have not seen their bands perform live or on television. I miss that.
