This is a pet peeve of mine. You listen to the news. They introduce a topic for a future time. You actually watch until the topic comes onto the screen. Then you feel burned when it takes so long to get the topic onscreen. And, the topic is so short of time that no real news is produced.

An example was today’s puff piece on the topic of Ann Romney. “Oh! Ann Romney.” Wait, wait, wait…Ms. Romney is selling her new cookbook? Is that all? I waited all this time to listen to a discussion of family values which we all have memorized. This is not news. it is a glorified infomercial on the latest celebrity cookbook.

I got gipped as they used to say.
