Many of us focus our thinking on the task at hand. This may be essential if you are working with dangerous equipment or detailed accuracy of accounts.

Thinking can also deal with goals: a new house, a relationship, or a hobby. Yet, Paul encourages us to focus differently. If you are a Christian, you focus on “the realities of heaven.” Later his words change slightly to “the things of heaven.”

See Colossians 3:1-2.

Col 3:1

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Col 3:2

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

That is where Christ is at present. That is where “your real life is hidden with Christ.” That is “where your life is revealed” and where all glory is revealed, which you are a part of Christ’s glory. You are part of Christ.

Read verses Colossians 3:5-11 to be able to practice these goals and sights. The how to is right there for the practice.
