As for us, we can’t help but thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters loved by the Lord. We are always thankful that God chose you to be among the first to experience salvation – …. (NLT)

In II Thessalonians 2:13-14, Christians thank Christians. This may not be novel, but it says something we need to be reminded of today.

We, by majority, generally think we are all Christians in the United States.

Yet, Christian politicians are not thanking each other in the halls of Washington politics as they seethe and foment about what other Christians are saying and doing.

And, Christian politicians insult other Christians in press conferences and speeches needling one another.

And, Christians politicians as Christians have forgotten thankfulness by what this country provides.

The other day, I think I heard, even the House Chaplain had scolded the members for their present actions.
