In Jeremiah 26, God commands Jeremiah to tell the people of His up-coming plans. In verse 3, God hopes they will hear and change. If they do repent, God says, “Then I will change My mind about….”

This phrase “Then I will change My mind about….” or its approximant occurs three times in Jeremiah. This should give us pause in our own lives. What are we doing as Christians, in name only, to repent or change to be better servants of God?

Do not think that just because you say you are a Christian, but do wrong things, that God will not change His mind about you.

In Hezekiah‘s time the repented attitude did occur, and the kingdom was saved from the Assyrian army.

Interestingly, Jeremiah talks about this change of mind. Yet, everyone focuses on the downfall of the Kingdom instead of each personal transformation that needed to occur that would save themselves.

Christians should focus on personal transformation instead of the effect on the group. God sees the changes and changes His mind as He sees fit. Do you, as a Christian, see the changes in your life toward God, so God can change His mind about you?
