Paul often reminds us to stay away from foolish talk. In 2 Timothy, there is a specific example of foolish talk to help us out. In Chapter 2:16-18, Paul speaks of talking that leads to godless behavior spreading like gangrene.

Philetus and Hymenaeus claimed the resurrection of the dead had already occurred. This had lead many to leave the faith.

Foolish talk can be concepts that turn others away from their faith and previous good teaching.

What talk have you heard that does not square with the Bible?
