“Helping People” by Rick Sanders

Sometimes we try to help people. We give helpful suggestions. we help physically, and we help with what we have. Yet, they do not respond to anything it seems. You can bring a horse to water but you cannot make him drink comes to mind. Often, we help when we are not asked. The question we need to ask ourselves and to the one who needs help is do you want it? We do not ask this question because we forget to. So next time, note to self, ask before volunteering your help. Some will want it and you will know where to spend your energies.
